Aaron Ramsey To Miss 5 Games For Arsenal – Arsene Wenger

Thursday, 22 October 2015

Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey will be sidelined for around a month, Arsene Wenger has affirmed.

The Welshman must be supplanted in the wake of pulling up with a hamstring issue amid the Gunners’ Champions League win over Bayern Munich

Wenger said: "[Ramsey] had an output today yet he's out. I trust he will be out until after the following worldwide break."

Ramsey, 24, who opened his Premier League account with a goal in the club’s 3-0 win at Watford a week ago, has played 13 times for Wenger's side this season, however he won't be included against Everton on Saturday.

The French supervisor feels Ramsey's inclusion with the Welsh national group, who fit the bill for Euro 2014 not long ago, has added to Ramsey's most recent issue.

"With the [last] universal break, the way that he played against Andorra positively cost Bundle and him too."

He said second-decision goalkeeper David Ospina is additionally set to be occupied until 'the following worldwide break', whilst likewise including that Tomas Rosicky and English couple Jack Wilshere

also, Danny Welbeck will be missing until 2016.

"For them, you can say around the New Year."

Alexis Sanchez Set To Become Arsenal’s Highest Paid Player

26-year-old Chilean attacker, Alexis Sanchez is set to seal a new contract with Arsenal which will make him the Gunners’ biggest earner.
The former Barcelona player currently earns £130,000 per week at the Emirates but the club is looking at improving on that already. Sanchez has been in top form this season having found the back of the net seven times in his latest four matches.
The highest earner at Arsenal is currently German midfielder, Mesut Özil who earns £140,000 per week. According to Daily Mail, the Gunners are also keen to renew Ozil’s contract as they are wary of letting the contracts of both Sanchez and Ozil run into their final years.
The new contract being prepared for Sanchez may see him overtake the German midfielder in the earnings table.
Arsenal already renewed the contracts of key players such as Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla over the summer.

Lampard Has No Agreement With New York City

Saturday, 10 January 2015

Former Chelsea midfielder, Frank Lampard, has no agreement to join New York City FC, according to the Premier League.
The new MLS club announced the signing of Lampard last year July, but the ex-English International managed to find loan move to Manchester City.
Lampard managed to extend his loan until the end of the season, but that came after talks involving both clubs, the Premier League, MLS and Lampard himself. The loans extension brought across major criticism from fans in New York who have already bought season tickets.
The Premier League has cast further doubt if Lampard will ever play for New York FC by stating there is no deal finalised with the MLS Club.
"Frank Lampard is registered as a Manchester City player until the end of the 2014/15 season," The Premier League statement said.
"The Premier League has sought and received assurances from Manchester City that there is no agreement in place between the club or City Football Group with New York City FC relating to the player."
Major League Soccer commissioner, Don Garber, believes the player actually agreed not with the new club but with the City Football Group, a worldwide company run by owner Sheikh Mansour that owns both clubs and Australia's Melbourne City.
"We need to work hard now to move forward and recognise that Frank will be joining this team in July," Garber told Sports Illustrated.
Lampard has made 19 appearances for Manchester City so far this season and has scored seven goals, assisting in a further four more goals.

Mourinho Charged By FA Over ‘Campaign’ Comments

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, has been charged by the English FA for comments made about match officials after last month's draw at Southampton.
Mourinho claimed there is a "clear campaign" by "people, pundits, commentators and coaches from other teams" against Chelsea and labelled the booking of Cesc Fabregas, who allegedly dived, a "scandal."
"It is alleged his remarks constitute improper conduct in that they allege and/or imply bias on the part of a referee or referees and/or bring the game into disrepute." A statement issued by the FA.
The Portuguese has also been issued with a formal warning for saying last month's match at Stoke required a "good referee" to spot aggressiveness from the opponent.

Former Barcelona goalkeeper, Victor Valdes, has signed for Manchester United on a 18-month deal, the club confirmed on Thursday evening.
The 32-year-old has been training with the Red Devils for a few months now as part of his rehabilitation and the club have now confirmed the Spaniard has signed 18-month deal with an option to extend for a further year.
The Former Barca shot-stopper revealed he is looking to forward to work under manager Louis Van Gaal once again.
"It is a real honour to sign for Manchester United. I would like to thank Louis van Gaal and the club for allowing me to do my rehabilitation and to train with the team at the Aon Training Complex.," Valdes told the club's official website.
"From my short time here I can already see this is a very special club. I worked with Louis van Gaal during my time at FC Barcelona and to have the opportunity to work with him here at Manchester United is a dream come true."
Meanwhile, the Dutch manager confirmed Valdes has been brought in as the club's second choice goalkeeper.
"I am delighted Victor has signed for the club. Victor is a very experienced goalkeeper and his record speaks for itself," he said.
"I have said on many occasions that Manchester United will always be interested in the best players. Victor has remained very professional throughout his rehabilitation from injury and has been very impressive during his training sessions with the first team over the past weeks. He joins the club as the number two goalkeeper and is a great addition to the first team."

Wenger Not Interested In Signing Isco

Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenge, says the club are not interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder, Isco, as they have too many attacking players.
Wenger has come out and said the club does not need more attacking players but rather defensive options in the January transfer window.
And the Frenchman says he had to let players go otherwise they would not get any game time.
When asked if there was interest in the Madrid starlet, he said:"We aren't interested. We have a lot of creative players in the squad. We're short off defensive players, not attacking ones"
"We've already spoken about why we sent Podolski out on loan and why we also want to loan out Sanogo.
"It's because we have too many attacking players who have no chance of playing. Therefore we won't be signing any more players for up front", said Wenger.

Chelsea Deal For Messi 'Impossible'

Chelsea assistant manager, Steve Holland, has dismissed claims Lionel Messi could be joining the club.

The Argentine is reportedly unhappy at the Nou Camp, after clashing with Barcelona manager, Luis Enrique and has been strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, the Blues assistant was quick to reject those claims and says no signings will be made.
"Jose has made it quite clear his expectations are that nobody comes and nobody goes during the transfer window.
"We're perfectly happy with what we have. It's not a decision I personally would make. When you look at the numbers being mentioned around Messi, I would think it's an impossible deal for any club working within the Financial Fair Play rules."
However, SkySport News Spanish football expert,  Guillem Balague, revealed that Messi was the closest he has been to leaving.

Mourinho Calls For Hazard Protection

Wednesday, 7 January 2015

Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, says referees are not protecting Eden Hazard, which could prompt the Belgian to leave England.
,
The Blues boss was unhappy with the some of the tackles Hazard endured during their 5-3 loss to Tottenham Hotspur and the Portuguese manager says it happens match after match.
"People [are] in love with football in this country; people must be in love with Eden Hazard," Mourinho told reporters.
"The way, match after match, he's being punished by opponents and he's not being protected by referees, maybe one day we won't have Eden Hazard.
"It's one, two, three, four, five, 10 aggressive fouls against him. They kick and kick and kick, and the kid resists.
"He's a very honest guy in the way he plays, but that's another problem."

Yaya Apologizes After Shot Hurts 5-Year Old Girl

Tuesday, 16 December 2014

Manchester City midfielder, Yaya Toure, has phoned a five-year-old girl and her father to apologise after she was struck by his wayward shot during the 2-2 draw at QPR.
TV footage showed Toure’s effort hitting Chloe Power, a Loftus Road season-ticket holder, full in the face on Saturday.
The young girl was unable to protect her face with her hands, but luckily she escaped serious injuries.
After the game, Toure, who is shortlisted for the BBC African Player of the Year, donated his signed shirt with the word “sorry” written on it to Chloe, as reported by theGuardian.
He also tweeted: “I was very worried… Just spoke to the lovely Chloe and her dad on the phone. So glad she is ok.”

In a world of sad news and racism making the headlines, it’s nice to read a story like this were all involved made an extra effort to make a little football fan smile.

Mourinho: Costa Must Improve Fitness To Score More

Tuesday, 9 December 2014

Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho Criticizes Diego Costa’s Fitness

Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, claims that Diego Costa’s dry spell comes down to the striker’s poor physical condition.
,
Costa, who joined Chelsea from Atletico Madrid in the summer and was an immediate success, has scored just twice in his past seven matches for Chelsea.
After his side’s first defeat of the season, his manager has said that he will only be able to return to his original run of form if he can return to peak fitness levels.
“For me, the problem is not the goals,” the Portuguese manager told The Guardian.
“They will come as a consequence of his condition. He has to improve his condition. He was injured and had many doubts because he went a long time without training.
“Obviously that must have an effect on a player in the way he runs, the way he moves and in his co-ordination. I don’t think there is any problem but he has to recover.”
Diego Costa will look to return to his best form, which saw him score seven goals in his first four appearances, when Chelsea take on Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Diego Costa has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances for Chelsea this season.

HULL SKIPPER DAVIES QUIZZES WENGER: WHY DIDN'T YOU SIGN DIAME?!!

Monday, 20 October 2014

Hull City skipper Curtis Davies has taken a swipe at the lack presence of Arsenal's players after Saturday's 2-2 draw.
Davies claims Arsenal twice nearly signed Mo Diame and says they missed a trick because he has the sort of power and strength they lack.
“When you compare Arsenal to Chelsea and City, those two have the quality as well as big, strong, aggressive, athletic players,” said Davies.
“When you look at Arsenal, I guess they’ve got the footballers, but you can’t really see the strong, battling players. But the football they play they don’t really need that, because if you’ve got the possession more often than not, you don’t need to chase the ball and have big, battling midfielders.
“That’s how Arsenal have always done it. They got to this level with Wenger playing this football and why should they change it now?”
But Davies says Diame would have been just the player they need.
“He’s been brilliant. His quality, his composure, he’s definitely added to our squad. I was expecting a hustle and bustle midfielder, a strong, get-about player. I thought the goals would come, but to get four in five is ridiculous,” Davies added.
“Arsenal were meant to get him on about two or three occasions. I’m not sure if it was something to do with the medicals. He nearly went there when he was at Wigan and West Ham.
“I don’t know why it didn’t happen, but I’m delighted it didn’t and that he came to us instead. I’m particularly delighted he’s travelled half way round the world this week, put in that performance and scored a composed goal like that.”
